As the Senior Discord Community Moderator at HorizonPlay Studio, your main focus is creating a safe, friendly space where players connect and enjoy our games. You will lead moderation shifts, design clear rules and guidelines, train junior moderators, and act quickly to remove harmful content. Your voice will matter when we update community policy, prepare in-game announcements, and host events. You will also provide calm and thoughtful responses when serious issues arise, helping de-escalate and resolve conflicts.

This role balances protection with engagement. You will spend part of your time preventing and removing spam and scams; the other part will be proactive — welcoming new members, encouraging positive conversations, running small events, and creating pinned guides that help players find their way. We want a professional who acts with empathy and consistency.

You will work closely with community managers, product teams, and customer support. You must be comfortable documenting incidents, making fair judgements, and explaining actions publicly so the community understands moderation decisions. The ideal candidate enjoys teaching others and improving systems to reduce repeated problems.

• Minimum 2 years experience moderating Discord communities or similar platforms.
• Excellent written English with polite, clear tone for public messages.
• Strong familiarity with moderation bots (e.g., MEE6, Dyno, Carl-bot) and Discord roles/permissions.
• Ability to spot scams, phishing attempts, and suspicious accounts quickly.
• Comfort working flexible hours to cover European and American peak times.
• Good judgment and a calm approach to conflict resolution.

• Lead daily moderation shifts and manage escalation procedures for serious incidents.
• Design and maintain clear channel guidelines, FAQs, and onboarding messages for new members.
• Train and mentor junior moderators; run periodic reviews and feedback sessions.
• Manage and configure moderation bots and automation tools to reduce manual workload.
• Detect and remove scams, spam, hate speech, and other harmful content quickly and fairly.
• Coordinate with product and support teams to report bugs, user trends, and safety concerns.
• Plan and host community events like AMAs, contests, and voice chats to boost engagement.
