Forum Moderator Jobs 2025 — $1.2K–$1.8K / Month (ByteAssist)
ByteAssist Forums is hiring a calm and friendly Forum Moderator to support our Tech Support Community. This is a part-time remote role that pays $1,200 – $1,800 per month. You will help keep discussions helpful, answer common setup questions, and guide users to the right resources. If you enjoy helping people solve tech problems and want a steady remote role with flexible hours, this job is for you.
Our forum is a trusted place where users ask real questions about software, hardware, and services. As a moderator, you will make sure conversations stay useful, respectful, and on-topic. You will also highlight good answers, remove spam, and support our volunteer community helpers. This role is ideal for someone patient, detail-oriented, and able to explain technical steps in simple English.
📄 Job Description
As a Forum Moderator for ByteAssist, your main task is to keep our tech support forum useful and safe. You will read new posts, check reports from users, and take quick actions like tagging, closing, or moving threads when needed. You will welcome new members, point them to key posts, and help users find solutions step-by-step. You will also support our volunteer helpers and escalate critical issues to our support team.
The role focuses on tech help — common topics include software setup, device troubleshooting, account problems, and best practices. You do not need to be an expert in every area, but you should be comfortable following instructions, verifying facts, and testing simple fixes when needed. Clear, kind communication is more important than deep technical skill.
This is a remote, part-time role. You will schedule shifts to cover peak forum hours. Most moderators work 15–25 hours per week, and some night- or weekend coverage is helpful to support users in different time zones.
