📄 Job Description

The Community Moderator & Engagement Specialist helps keep our online communities active, safe, and inspiring. You’ll moderate user-generated discussions, review content reports, and guide users toward respectful participation. You’ll also help plan fun community events and highlight valuable contributions from members around the world.

Working with the social, content, and operations teams, you’ll ensure that every member of OpenForum Labs feels welcomed and supported. Your insights will help shape our community guidelines and engagement strategy.

📌 Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience moderating or managing online communities, forums, or social groups.
  • Excellent written English and calm, friendly communication style.
  • Comfortable working part-time or flexible hours, including late or night shifts.
  • Ability to stay objective when handling conflicts or content flags.
  • Good understanding of digital behavior, social media culture, and online etiquette.
  • Familiarity with moderation tools, dashboards, or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and ready to work independently in a remote setup.

  • Monitor user interactions and ensure conversations follow community guidelines.
  • Remove inappropriate posts or resolve conflicts in a respectful, balanced way.
  • Respond to community questions and direct members to helpful resources.

  • Collect feedback to improve community satisfaction and platform usability.
  • Help onboard new moderators or volunteers, offering training and mentorship.
  • Report on weekly community trends and suggest ideas to increase participation.
